Volunteer Vacancies

Volunteers form the backbone of many of our communities and such experiences can be hugely rewarding. Maybe it is something you are interested in. Being a volunteer does require enthusiasm and perseverance. Many volunteers come from abroad and Have a look at Residential Volunteering Opportunities in one of our community households.

We are looking for young people, over 21 years old, to volunteer in Camphill Community Mountshannon, preferably for a year, to work with us with our friends with special needs. Our peoples needs vary, some may require more physical care than others, others may need encouragement and social support. They all need different levels of care/ help/ support one way or another so that they can achieve their best in contributing to life in the community and achieving their personal goals, here and in the wider commmunity. We like to welcome people who come with a genuine interest in working with people. Good English is essential and a willingness to be flexible and involved in all sort of activities from care to work to leisure supports inside and outside.

1 Coworker From 02 Dec 2019

We are looking for motivated, energetic and responsible volunteers interested in joining our life sharing community spread over a small seaside village. You will join one of our three small house communities, to live and work alongside adults with special needs and other volunteers from many different countries. The role involves living in a household in the community together with adults with special needs, supporting them in their day to day needs and work life.

Each household is guided by house-coordinators and offers a home to up to three residents with disabilities. Camphill Ballymoney operates a small garden, a basket-workshop, a felt workshop and a small coffee-shop. 

This role would best suit empathetic, caring and responsible people with a strong sense of commitment. Good English is essential and preference is given to those who can commit for the full year. 1 Short term Co-worker From 01 Jan 2020

Camphill Community Dingle is looking for a volunteer from January 2020, 18 years and older, with enthusiasm, who has a keen interest of working with adults with special needs and can commit for 12 months. Previous personal or professional experience engaging with individuals with intellectual disability, farming and gardening, crafts, music and homemaking will also be considered an advantage. 


A good command of written and spoken English is a requirement.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and mature female co-worker who can stay with us for at least one year. 

You will be supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities as well as supporting others in the organisation. 

Excellent English is essential and good sense of humor and communication skills will be important. It is also important to have willingness to work and cooperate closely with people who have chosen to live and work in Camphill and willingness to learn and accept something different from what you have known. 

This work and life are challenging but rewarding. If you want to develop yourself and experience something totally different from what you have experienced, this is the place for you.
