Horse Riding Arena Development
Riding and caring for the horses is an important part of live for some people in Jerpoint, whereby some people enjoy the care and company of the horse and others the riding. There are many articles and books written about the benefits of interaction with horses for people with disabilities and in particular for people with autism.
Jerpoint has a small sand arena (20 x 20 m) which provides a safe and sheltered space for horse riding. This arena was set up 10 years ago and has served us well. With time the sand in the arena has worn down to a thin layer and needs urgent topping up. There are no funds or grants for this.
Expected cost € 2,000
