Drama and music workshops

Every Monday afternoon a group of us heads to town to have a go at acting, improvisation and fun with Nicola Kealy. Nicola has been teaching us the tricks of drama for a few years and by now there is some serious talent among us. The drama group has produced four plays, all of them really funny, and the latest, 'Tea- the musical', was also written by the group. One of the exciting things about the drama group is its inclusiveness. Besides us from Greenacres, there are other people with various abilities joining in. We perform the plays usually locally in the summer but we are willing to go on tour too!

Drama with Nicola is complemented by a music workshops on Thursday afternoons. Mischa O'Mahony, an all-around musical talent and a wicked saxophone player, teaches us improvisation with voice and instruments and helps us to get the music together for the plays.
