The Camphill Community in Thomastown provides Independent Living Support for people with Learning Disabilities in four houses in town. The support is tailored to the individual needs of the person and reaches from life sharing with a family over semi-independent living in shared houses to external support in one's own flat. The community offers help and support for every household and for social inclusion for each person. People receive help according to their Person Centred Plan i.e. with finances, post, cooking, cleaning, washing, health, work and relationships. People are also encouraged to contribute in a meaningful way to the life in the house and the community. Social and cultural activities, outings, celebrations and time together are part of the weekly and yearly rhythm. We celebrate Christian Festivals together and take part in activities of local Camphill Communities and the wider community of Thomastown. We offer short term respite care for one person.
