Career Break Opportunities

Many  people come to a point in their lives when they might want to take a career break. They may look for a change or find that they look for a life more meaningful, than their present situation. Camphill can really benefit from people that bring life experience, a certain maturity and idealism. Whether you want to join Camphill as a family or as an indivdual, talk to us regarding different opportunities, that exist whether on a short term or longterm basis.

We are particularly interested to hear from families or individuals with relavant or transferable experiences, such as social care, social work, farming, horticulture,crafts on management experience. Our communities will assist with training, supervision and mentoring to ensure that the new experience is a positive one.

Persons, with a keen interest, or already engaged in, or completing a Social Care / Social Pedagogy course/degree or similar field is a distinct advantage. Previous personal or professional experience engaging with individuals with an Intellectual Disability will also be considered an advantage. Proficiency in spoken and written English is required, and you will be assessed as part of the application process

2 Lifesharing Live-In Junior coworker From 01 Jul 2018

We are interested to hear from enthusiastic young men and women who would like to spend a year sharing our community life in a small town near Kilkenny. Volunteers will join a house community supporting adults with a variey of needs. Some of those we support have high needs, including physical / intimate care and constant supervision. Others live in their own accommondation and need friends visiting regularly to support them as they manage their own lives. Our life is challenging for all, and very rewarding for those who engage and participate fully. Good English is essential, and it helps if you bring energy, initiative and humour! In your application, please answer these two additional questions: 1: when are you free to start? 2: how long do you wish to stay?

Male and Female Volunteers We are always looking for motivated, energetic and responsible volunteers interested in joining our life sharing community to live and work alongside adults with special needs. You will join a vibrant young team of about 12 -14 young adults between the ages of 18-24 from many different countries. The role involves living in a household in the community together with adults with special needs, supporting them in their day to day needs and work life. This role would best suit empathetic, caring and responsible people with a strong sense of commitment. Good English is essential and preference is given to those who can commit for the full year. 5 Camphill Kyle is looking for enthusiastic volunteers starting in July18 From 23 Jul 2018

Camphill Community Kyle is a land-based residential care centre in the beautiful South East.  We are looking for enthusiatic volunteers to join us for a min of 10 months and support the people we look after throughout their daily life. Volunteers need to be at least 18 yrs of age, have good written and spoken english and be able to work as a team. We are looking for enthusiatic, reliable, social and creative people to come and join us in July/Aug 2018.
